Carlos POV

I woke up in the morning by my mom knocking at the door while calling out my name,

"Carlos sweetheart wake up, it's morning, you have some important work today, don't you remember, you td me to wake you up early and you are still sleeping, wake up darling???", She was was trying to wake me up.

"Yes mom, just a minute!!", I woke up sad and sat on my bed, rubbing my eyes.

I got out of my bed and headed towards the bathroom. I brushed my teeth, took a shower wore some clean clothes and headed towards the living area.

"Good morning mom", I headed towards her and gave her a kiss on her cheeks.

"Good morning darling, slept well last night?", She questioned me because my mom is tensed about me. I couldn't sleep properly because I used to be stressed.

"Yes I did mom, I slept well last night, did you sleep well?", I asked her.

"Yes darling I did", she smiled.

"Just wait for a second mom, I will get your breakfast and lunch ready, you can warm your lunch anytime when you are hungry, and for dinner mom, I kept some cash near the table you can order some food for yourself okay, I will be late today, have some very important work", I served my mom while I was talking to her.

"Okay darling I understand, you are working very hard to pay the loans off, you are working extra shifts because of that", she looked at her plate with a sad face.

"Yes mom, I need to work hard, to save up some cash, and I cannot save even a single penny because of the loans", I replied while I was beating the eggs.

"It's okay darling you are having this house, you don't need to worry, at least you won't be homeless, you can stay here with your family, your rental money is getting saved right", my mom and dad had brought this house for me, and it's the only thing that my dad left behind.

"Yes mom you are right, I am just having this house and I am having you, there is nothing else I have in this life, you are the only person I have in this life and I don't want Anyone else", I replied while I was frying the eggs.

"Mom, you would like toast with your eggs right?", I questioned her.

"Anything will do darling!!".

I served my mom with eggs and toast and I placed a glass of fresh juice on the table. I gave my mom her meds which she has to have every morning after breakfast.

"Here are your meds, have it with your juice it's better, so it will be better if you have it with your juice you won't feel it so bitter", I placed the meds on the table along with a glass of juice.

"Yes darling, all these meds are so bitter, I am tired of having these meds everyday", my mom was acting fussy.

"Mom you want to get cured right??, so for that you need to take your meds on time. If you take your meds on time you will get cured soon, and then you have to not meet those doctors every time, we will be done with the doctors stuff, and you have to not take these many meds, you hate it right mom so have it on time", I tried to make her understand, because if she doesn't take care if herself she will not be cured.

"Okay jared sweetheart, for you darling I will have these meds don't worry I will try to cure myself, so that we have to not pay these doctors any money, and all our loans will get paid off".

I took a seat opposite my mom, and I served myself eggs and toast, I some fresh juice in my glass.

"Yes mom, if you get cured soon, we will only have the loans that we have to pay, so get cured fast okay", I replied.

"Darling I forgot to ask you, where are you going today, what work do you have, is it the extra shifts?"My mom asked me.

"Yes mom it's the extra shifts and I got another job, I will be working there too, I have an late night shift there and I am getting a good pay, which I will use to pay the loans and your hospital bills", I replied.

"They are paying you so much money darling, what kind of job is that,bis it difficult and dangerous, if it is dangerous Don't go there darling I don't want you to put your life at risk sweetheart", my mom replied.

"Mom don't worry I am not going to do any dangerous job so don't take tension of that okay, please don't worry about me it will spoil your health, I don't want to take any chances with your health, please mom try to understand your health matters a lot to me". My mom was worried about me, because I have done few jobs in the past which have spoiled my health.

"Okay darling, but before leaving promise me you won't do any kind of difficult job, I don't want anything to happen to you sweetheart, you are the only thing I have, without you I won't be able to live and I won't be able to forgive myself because you are doing this job just because of me, because I am sick, and I know you will go to any extent for me Carlos, please don't do any kind of difficult job sweetheart", my mom replied.

"Mom!!!, I am not doing any kind of difficult job, don't worry, nothing is going to happen to me, this job is paying me well because no one was ready to take up this job, because we have to work during the night, and I am used to these kind of jobs, so don't worry mama, nothing is going to happen to me, and I can assure you the this job is safe", I assured her

"Okay Carlos I won't say anything now, as you promised me that this job is safe, just take care of yourself darling!!".

"Yes mom I will take care of myself don't worry".

I had my breakfast and began to make lunch for my mom.

"What do you want for lunch mom?", I asked her.

"Chicken fry and some rice will do darling", my mom Replied..

"Okay mom".

I prepared lunch for my mom the way she likes it.

"Your lunch is ready mom wherever you are hungry just warm it okay, and any problem just call the neighbours they are good, they will help you out of you need anything, I have saved their number as neighbours in your phone so that it would be easy for you to find their number, and please keep this phone along with you, you, any problem you have to not go in search of your phone, you have a pocket in you dress, so use it to keep your phone", I placed a phone in her pocket of her dress.

"Okay darling I will keep the phone in my pocket so that I can call the neighbours when I need any help, don't worry about me sweetheart", she replied.

"How can I not worry about you mom, I worry about you all the time, because you don't take care of yourself, I told you hundred and ten times that your health matters a lot, you need to be very healthy, because if you are weak, then during the operation you will have a lot of trouble and pain and I would not like you to suffer mom",I scolded her

"Okay darling I will take good care of my health don't worry about me sweetheart concentrate in your work, it's good that your working because your attention will be on work and you will not have time to think much about me or take any kind of tension, and all the negative thoughts will be away"..

"Yes mom please take care of yourself in my absence, because when I am not here you act careless and you don't take care if yourself".

"No no sweetheart don't worry I can take care of myself okay, don't bother much about me, I have my phone here and you have already prepared lunch for me, so if I am hungry i will serve myself ok", she replied.

"Yes mom, I don't want you to take any trouble, that is why I kept everything ready here for you, so that you don't take any kind of stress, you need to only rest the whole day, I have already kept very thing ready here for you, please don't do any kind of stressful work like washing the utensils, when I return back home I will wash all of them and don't clean the house I will call a maid to do it".

"Okay darling don't worry I won't take any stress, and I will not wash the utensils, I will wait for you okay, but if I am bored what should I do, I don't like to stay here in this house the entire day", she replied.

"Mom during the weekends I will take you for a walk amd for a ice cream, just like old times, When we both used to go together in the garden you used to buy me an ice cream, but this time it will be different I will buy you an ice cream and whatever you want to have, but please don't go anywhere out, it would be dangerous for you ok, you cannot walk properly and I am scared because of that, you forget things too, you might forget your way back home mom, so please don't leave the House", I replied.

"Okay fine darling I won't leave the house in your absence as you promised me that you would take me out during the weekends I have no problem", she promised me.

"If you are bored mom you can watch tv for some time, you won't know how the time passes".

"Okay darling, I will watch tv", she replied.

"Your walking stick is kept there you can use it, and please take your walking stick along with you wherever you go, I know you have problems in walking, and if you have any difficulty in making the food warm you can call out to our neighbours,they will help you out in that, please don't take any stress it's not good for your health", I replied.

"Yes darling don't worry about me I won't take any kind of stress, you need to leave for work right, go get ready or else you will be late for work, and I would not like you to get scolding from your boss just because of him and if your boss scolds you a lot tell him that you had to take care of me, so things are pretty difficult for you at home, i know that your boss will understand your situation darling".

"Yes of course my boss will understand my situation mom, he is a really good man, and I know him very well, he won't scold me, so don't worry about that, I was thinking about Mr Nelson while was talking to my mom.

"Carlos, how do you know your boss very well?", My mom asked me.

"Mom it's easy for me to identify which people are good and which are bad, you know that very well, I can get to know a person's personality just after looking at them, so I that's how I know my boss, I know that he is a very good man, that's why I am working for him, or else I wouldn't", I replied.

"Okay darling all the best for your work, and all the best for today's night shift, you are working at a new place, talk to everyone nicely, don't be rude to anyone, and make many friends and girlfriends", my mom said.

"Mom, come on, girlfriends??Like seriously!!, I am going to work not to make girlfriends and to be in a relationship with anyone". I started blushing.

"Come on, darling!!, we don't know what can happen in the future, you can get your life partner at your workplace, my blessings are always with you darling and I am waiting for that day, when you get your fiance in this house", my mom smiled.
