Be Silent Carlos!!

Carlos POV

"Okay sir, I will go and search for a taxi", I said.

I headed towards the road and I began to search for the taxi, but I couldn't find one because that place was a remote place. It was difficult to find a taxi here.

I had to find a taxi soon, because Mr Nelson's wife needs one immediately, and the baby too needs to be treated because she stayed in this place for a very long time, so she needs some injection to avoid any infection.

After a few minutes I saw a taxi parked in the distance.

I rushed towards the taxi.

"I need to go to the city hospital, please help me out", I said to the taxi driver by bending towards his window so that I could see him clearly.

"who is sick sir, that you need to go to the hospital", the taxi driver said.

"A woman needs to be hospitalized as soon as possible, her life is at risk, so I need help. Please help me out", I said.

"Where is the women sir?"He asked me while searching, moving his eyes around my surroundings and searching for the women about whom I told him.

"I will get her here, please wait here", I said.

"Okay sir", he replied.

I rushed towards the direction where Mr Nelson was.

"I found a taxi sir. Please follow!!", I said.

"Where is the taxi Carlos' ', Mr Nelson said while looking around for the taxi.

"The taxi is not here sir, we need to walk for a distance", I said.

"Okay fine", he replied while carrying his wife.

Mr Nelson followed me towards the taxi.

The taxi driver opened the door for mr nelson. Mr Nelson sat in the back seat and I sat in the front seat.

"Carlos please tell him to drive fast, we need to reach the hospital soon", he told me.

"Yes sir", I replied.

"Please drive a bit fast, we need to reach the hospital as soon as possible", Mr Nelson told the cab driver.

"Yes sir", he replied.

"Who is she, sir, why is she unconscious?What happened to the young lady?"He asked me.

"She is not well that is why we don't have much time we need to rush her to the hospital, this is a remote area , and there is no network here that is why we couldn't call an ambulance,

Luckily you were here, so that is why I asked for your help", I replied to the taxi driver.

"I will try my best to drive fast sir", the cab driver replied.

"Yes please", I replied back.

"How much more time?", ``When are we going to reach the hospital?", Mr Nelson asked the taxi driver.

"Don't worry sir, we will be reaching the Hospital soon", he replied.

"Please hurry, my wife needs immediate treatment", Mr Nelson said to the taxi driver.

"Yes sir, I am trying my best to drive as fast as I can, I can understand your pain", he replied.

"How can you understand my pain?, Have you ever been in this situation?"He asked him.

"Yes sir I have once been in the exact same place, my wife has a labour pain during midnight, no one was helping me to take her to the hospital, it was raining heavily, I tried asking people for help but no one helped me, then one man agreed to give me a lift in his car, I was helpless just like you sir, because of that man I could save my wife, at that time I used to not drive a taxi, I used to work in a shop. When this gentleman told me everything, that your wife needed immediate treatment I agreed on the spot to help you out, because I know this pain sir, which you are going through", he replied while driving and while looking at the rear view mirror at Mr Nelson

"Thank you so much for helping me,this means a lot to me", he replied to him with a smile.

"There is no need to thank me sir, it's my duty to help you out, I am a taxi driver, so this is my job", he replied.

"Okay, please try to drive fast", Mr Nelson replied.

"Yes sir", he replied back.

"Do you both want some water to drink, you two look exhausted", he asked us.

"No thank you so much but I am fine", Christof replied.

"If Carlos wants you can give him some water", he replied.

"No sir I am fine", I replied to him by looking behind.

"Thank you so much but I don't feel like drinking anything now", I replied to the taxi driver.

"Sir, your daughter is sleeping peacefully in my arms", I said while looking behind.

"How do you know she is a girl?"He asked me.

"The old woman told me, that you got a baby girl, she also told me that Addison told her to take care of her baby, she told her that you will come to take the baby soon, and to wait for you, so when the old lady saw you she got to know that it was you", I said to him while turning towards him.

"But how did she know what Addison told her?"He asked me.

"I asked her the exact same question, she told me that she got to know through her emotions, the old tribal women is very wise she and gets to know what a person is telling her through their behaviour and emotions", I told him

"When did you talk to the old women?", He asked me

"When you were near your wife, the old woman told me everything, she told me that she took care of your wife,but she couldn't wake her",I replied.

"They are not professional doctors after all Carlos, so it's obvious they would not be able to give her that treatment, Addison needs treatment from professional doctors, not from tribal villagers Carlos", he told me.

"Yes you are right sir, your wife needs a professional doctor not tribal villagers to treat her, but don't you think sir, it's a miracle that they saved your baby, they are not professional doctors, your baby is healthy and fit and fine and she doesn't look sick", I replied.

"Carlos let's not talk about the baby for now, because I am worried about Addison more than the baby, I want my wife to be okay, I want her to gain consciousness, I cannot see her like this unconscious", he replied to me

"I know sir you are worried more about your wife than your baby, you had already told me that your wife is more important than your baby", I replied back

"How can I forget that", I said with a low voice.
