“Miss Parks… Miss Parks…” I feel a large hand shaking my shoulder as it startles me awake. I inhale deeply and snap my eyes wide open as I sit up and start to look around at my surroundings. The police chief was standing over me with a sad gaze. “I’m so sorry, but it is time to wake up, dear. We need to get rolling if we want to make sure we have all of our ducks in a row, okay?”
