“Are the two of you ready?” I turn around in time to see Chief walking over towards us. Katie and I had spent the last hour or so just hanging out around the camp center and talking about just stupid stuff. We talked about old times again and even talked about our future together. I have to say, the picture she painted was beyond amazing and I can’t wait to make her dreams come true.
I sigh as I look down at Katie and I see the anxiety creep back into her eyes. “I think we are about as ready as we could ever be.”
The chief nods his head firmly as he inhales and moves closer to me. “Alright, son. You know the drill. Keep your head down, stay quiet, and don’t get caught. Got that?”
I nod my head firmly as I look into his eyes. “Yes sir. I’ve got that.”
“Good,” he stat
