After my mom came out to say hello to everyone, Sammy and I left with her in her SUV. I couldn’t help but to be excited about this because it has been far too long since we last got to have a girls day. The point of today was to get our nails done, grab some lunch, and then go shopping for decor for our homes. The last time we did this, I was moving away for college and both my parents wanted to spoil me one last time before I left to start my own adventure. My mom insisted on doing this both times because she ‘simply couldn’t allow us to live in empty spaces’. Every time she said it, I would always laugh and just shake my head. I know that she is doing it more as a bonding experience with us than anything else.
The car ride to the nail salon was filled with music, singing, and dancing.
