I ended up speaking to about ten different people who all asked me, roughly, the exact same questions. Some of them mixed it up and asked me questions about my relationships with my brother, mom, dad, and Sammy too, but for the most part, it was all about Romano. By the time I was done talking to everyone in there, I think I had told everything I knew, thought I knew, and everything I wanted to know about him to everyone in the building.
I sigh with relief as I turn towards Nick and I feel the exhaustion take over my body. “That was awful.”
