Chapter 32 - Connections
When he heard Emily's explanation, he slapped his forehead in dismay. Andrew was so busy with Cassie that he had almost forgotten about Lucy. He usually tried to see her every day at work, but he got too distracted by Cassie's problems. A part of him also believed Lucy didn't need him as much since she had Emily here now, so he knew she would always be okay. At the same time, Andrew had to keep in mind that Lucy was still quite dependant on him. With Emily here, it was true that she wasn't as lonely anymore, but only Andrew could give her that sense of security between life and death. He was the only one who knew the actual reason why Lucy was at the hospital. Though Emily and Lucy had patched things up, they still weren't at the point where they could tell each other everything.
