Now I could understand why Evangeline hated to travel through portals. It was more uncomfortable than I had ever imagined. The feeling of your body being compressed together to then slowly come into an abrupt fall until your feet touched the ground again. It wasn't an experience I would like to repeat.  It took some time for my eyes to adjust to the light of the familiar clearing Cole and I were standing in. The sun was still visible from here.
