Chapter Thirty-Nine.
“Moose” Fitz simply stated, as the giant horned beast stood in the middle of the road, looking at the SUV as if it had no right to be there, and made no attempt to move.
“Damn it, we are stuck here until it decides to move off the road,” Fitz sighed, then locked the internal doors of the SUV, preparing himself to wait out the beast that looked determined to stand its ground.
“My apologies, ladies, for my uncouth language,” the king immediately said. It was not his custom to swear in front of the women of his court.
Eliza giggled slightly, shaking her head.
“No apologies necessary. I lived with Rein as a child, and her language was a lot worse than what you just said,” she giggled.
“Your majesty, I worked in the human quarter, before my employment at The
