Joel Why today of all days? My leg was killing me. I knew I should have gotten off of it sooner than I did yesterday. I popped the anti-inflammatory pill, ate a snack, so I wouldn’t be sick and tried to stay off of it before I went to work, because I didn’t want to use my cane or scooter today, especially at dinner. Every time I did, my mother got all teary-eyed, and I didn’t want to put her through the stress. I remember when I lost my leg and was in the burn unit for a while, my parents and Amanda visited me a lot. Amanda, bless her, didn’t go into hysterics.
