Joel I heard the car doors open and close and my eyes zeroed in on Gia. She looked lovely in a soft green wrap dress with beige flats on. Her red waves flowed around her face while the rest of it looked braided. Her face was makeup free, her freckles shown in the low sunlight. The black cane I bought her clutched in her hand as she guided herself using the vehicle. Her grandfather was still growling at me, his words muffled my ears as I watched her. She was radiant.
