I sighed as I shut down my computer. I looked at my phone and smiled. I had charges of over thirty-six thousand dollars on my black card. I know I told her it was the company card, and the one that was in her desk drawer that first day of work had been. But I swapped it out with my personal one after she went home yesterday. I don’t know why I did it. I just had this need to let her spend my money, not the company's money. I wanted to be the one to provide for her. It was this need in me and I just couldn’t fathom why.
My phone rang in my hand from an unknown number. I almost sent it to voicemail, but something told me not to.
