“You want to buy a Christmas tree? But Christmas is in three days, what’s the point?” I asked her, desperately trying to change her mind about the Christmas tree.
“The point is, it’s Christmas, Mr. Grinch,” she said, making me growl into her neck as we walked in a big box store looking for a fake Christmas tree. “We need a place to put our presents under, and it’s fun to decorate. We can get a first Christmas ornament, to commemorate our first Christmas together.”
“Okay, that’s actually cute,” I said. Because it was, and I would love nothing else than to celebrate our first Christmas together. She smiled up at me, her dimple popping out, making me zero in on it. I loved her dimple.
