Lucy’s POV
I have lived in Seattle all my life. I was working as a hotel manager before the radiation took the world into its horrible grasp. I was in the hotel that day walking around in the lobby visiting with guests when everyone around me started to fall to the ground choking and gasping for air. I stood there frozen in horror wondering why I wasn’t on the floor like all of them. I slowly moved into action to help others. As I reached an older man and touched his side he disappeared into dust, leaving just his clothes behind. I knelt there in frozen fear and looked around to see everyone else disappearing just like the older man had. I was left alone in a hotel that was always full of noise and happy people. The dead silence was the worst part of it.
