I couldn't stop looking at the ring as we walked home hand in hand.
"It's very beautiful," I said as we got into the house.
"I'm glad you like it" he answered as he removed a phone from his pocket and handed it to me.
"You should talk to your parents, I'm sure they really miss you," he said with a calm smile.
I quickly got the phone and dialed mother's line which I knew by heart, I waited patiently while it rang, Michael gave me a quick kiss on my cheek then went upstairs.
"Hello," she answered.
