Chapter 51. Daddy Dearest
(Present- At Jade's home)
Cole woke up early today. Usually his mommy had to wake him up, but today she didn't. He lied in the bed, thinking mommy would be in soon, but mommy wasn't in. And then he got hungry. He pulled on his blanket, and his feet were cold when he got down from the bed.
"Ooooh," he gasped. "Where is mommy?" He said as his little feet pitter-pattered out of the room. He checked the kitchen, looking for his mommy. She wasn't there. He went to her room, and mommy was still sleeping. But that wasn't what caught his attention. It was the book next to mommy. The book was shiny and Cole picked it up. He touched it and his fingers slid over it.
