Jared could not believe himself or his eyes. She was here in front of him, staring at him with those wide eyes, as if she was memorizing everything about him. His eyes were appreciative and attentive as he looked at this magnificent woman standing in front of him, and he was so afraid to blink. He was afraid that she would vanish just as she had always vanished in millions of those dreary nights when he woke up from his dream—or maybe they were nightmares—when he blinked.
