Chapter 21: Insane Feelings

He looked cool as a freaking cucumber. And his head was filled with clay instead brain. He was insane, and she wanted to run, run as far and fast as she could. She was afraid she would become just as insane as him, if she stayed.
"Not a wife, but I know you have a husband!" He said, a hint of acidity in his voice. He looked angry to have known that fact, which was not really a fact. A husband? How would she have found herself a husband after everything he had done to her? Why would she even go to that kind of madness?
Once bitten, didn't he understand that? Oh, how would he? He still believed all the crazy things he had accused her of, but then how could he touch and tease and ignite the fire in her body?
