As soon as we pulled Raven off of our mother, it was obvious that she was dead.
Raven was acting like a caged animal. It took everything we both had to calm her down. Zeke got in her face and she finally started calming down when she realized where she was.
We knew that she had a temper and that she could fight, but we had never seen or imagined that she would ever turn into something like this.
I asked her what the hell was wrong, so she grabbed a file from the guard and slammed it into Zeke’s chest and casually walked away.
Zeke opened the file and I looked at it with him. It was our mother’s file. The file that we didn’t want her to see. The secrets of the past coming out to bite us in the ass.
