It obviously didn’t take long for the word to get out that Raven was gone. Bellamy and I stayed close to the packhouse. We didn’t want to see anyone, but we knew that people were stopping by all the time. We didn’t see anyone but whenever I would look outside the front window, the row of flowers outside the packhouse had gotten bigger. The whole pack were leaving flowers and wearing black as they were in mourning. I was really surprised, really, by the reaction. I mean, they barely knew Raven. They didn’t have a whole lot to do with her at all. She’d had a couple of get togethers with the whole pack but that was about it. She’d never gotten to know many of them one on one.
