The confrontation between father and son isn’t nearly as disastrous as Ryker had thought it would be. It isn’t cold seeing as Ryker opted out of acting indifferent, but it isn’t heated either despite the feelings of pure rage filling him to the brim. He finds his father waiting for him when he had gone out of his way not to stay out too late. His father regards him with something akin to fondness and sorrow in his eyes, but Ryker knows better.
