Twelve In front of the closed door of Kingdom’s office, Whistle grasped her hand, brought it to his lips, and kissed her knuckles. Nodding, Tasa clasped his hand tightly and moved behind him. “Don’t be afraid,” he assured her gently. She didn’t know Kingdom, and he could see how it might be daunting, but Whistle had trusted him with his life on more than one occasion.
