(Dominic’s POV) By the time I finally left my office, the sky had gone pitch black. The moon hung low and heavy, casting a pale glow over the compound as I walked back toward the main house. My body ached from the hours I’d spent reviewing strategy, vetting potential new rogue recruits, and responding to letters from allied factions. But it wasn’t the work that weighed on me.
