(Ava’s POV) The morning after the wedding was a blur. The remnants of the celebration still hung in the air—lingering laughter and the faint smell of wine clinging to the walls of the estate. I tried to shake off the bitter aftertaste of last night’s confrontation with Logan, but the more I thought about it, the more I felt like I was stuck in a never-ending cycle of disappointment. I’d barely slept, the weight of everything pressing down on me until I couldn’t escape it. Dominic and I had barely spoken since the moment in the hallway, and despite everything, I couldn’t shake the need for his presence.
