Chapter 26 - The New Guy
Bright and early, as promised, we are all up and ready to start the day, formulating a plan to get Toby out of arrest and hopefully the charges dropped. I know it's wishful thinking, since they literally found Melody in his house, but since Dr Mack is now here, I'm hoping that we get an update on her chances of waking up and starting to talk.
I've stopped in the kitchen where Laurie is making coffee, before we join the rest of the team. She hands me a steaming hot mug as soon as she sees my red rimmed puffy eyes and sunken face. I know I look like crap, but these past 2 days have been a wild ride on a rollercoaster, and the ending is less than happy.
