“It would be alright. Stop thinking about it, Jane. There’s no way they’d take you away from me. I wouldn’t let that happen again,” I kept assuring her again and again because I felt this strange fear creep into my chest through the mate bond. I knew it was what she was feeling.
She was scared. Genuinely scared that they were going to come for her and take her away from me but I wouldn’t let that happen again, at any cost. I was taking all the preparations.
