I clear my throat as Aiden and I inch closer to her .
“You can stop there .” She deadpans while still looking at Felix , the tip of her index finger rubbing over his cheek .
I halt in my steps , hating that she has the life of my child in her hands , literally .
It makes my skin crawl and my heart pound in my ears .
All I can do is stare at them with horror filled eyes and panic as I wait for her to do something , anything .
Her head slowly raises and her eyes lock on Aiden , “He is a catch .” She grins devilishly before looking at me with a numb expression on her face .
It’s the kind of look that promises death and makes my heart skip a beat .
