August’s pov
Both Craven and I were a lot calmer when we got back than when we had left. I was still not sure about all this, but Craven wanted her desperately, and the least I could do was help him. He had stuck by me through my bad decisions.
I knew I couldn’t lose him like I did, Silo. I still can not believe he left me like that. He was a strong alpha wolf, and he should have known he would get another mate eventually. I think it was his way of making sure I was punished more.
He would rather leave and cause me more pain than stick it out and have another chance to be happy. It was his punishment to me for ignoring his and Craven’s words. Craven stayed, though. If he hadn’t I think I would have given up on my life completely, so I owed him one.
