Rebecca’s pov
I am still in shock as Sienna takes me to a room and sits me down on the bed. Why would the goddess give me another mate so soon. I am not ready for this, and he is so angry and aggressive, I don’t think I can do this, I need to leave.
“I know you are probably freaking out right now, but Cassie wouldn’t have asked Lilith to bring you here if it wasn’t where you were meant to be” she says softly to me.
“I just don’t know if I can face him. I am not ready” I say in a whisper.
“Oh honey, I know, you still need to heal, and I will make sure August let’s you do that. Please don’t give up on him, my son hasn’t been the same since he lost his first mate” she says concerned, and I can tell her concern is as much for me as it is for her son.
