Rebecca’s pov
It takes me 10 minutes to calm down properly so I can attempt to leave the Palace. I am glad to see that the car is right outside the door, so I will be enclosed in its safety within a minute. I take a deep breath and step outside, moving as quickly as I can until I am inside.
The stranger in the driving seat surprisingly gives me a sense of safety and reassurance. I had guessed he was Raine’s driver, bodyguard, or both. I was wrong.
“Rebecca this is Perseus, your future Gamma, we thought it would be easier for both you and August to have him here” Raine says, introducing us.
We say a simple hi to each other, and he starts to drive. Well, it makes sense now why he gives me a feeling of safety, and it reassures me in many ways. I definitely feel more connected
