My current stats were pretty decent. If the hunter association saw this then they would probably give me the F rank hunter license. But I don't want an F rank license. I want to be capable enough to stand alongside my goddesses. I wonder when that day will come. I am not even sure if it would come true.

Oh yeah I need to check the latest news. I heard people saying that the Hunter Research branch has concluded some of the research and the necessary details are out. Let me check through my phone.

( An important topic has been concluded by the hunter association. Hunters won't remain stagnant and can grow their overall strength. But there is an issue regarding it. The hunters are bound by their ranking. They won't grow once they reach the growth limit of their Rank.)

( But we have also found out that the low rank hunters can awaken again if they meet specific conditions. But at the moment we are unable to discern what those specific conditions are.)

F rank hunters.

Research among 300 F rank hunters showed that the maximum limit of their stats is hundreds each. Also they could learn as much as 3 skills at most.

E rank hunters

Research among 300 E rank hunters showed that the maximum limit to their stats are 180 each. Similarly like F rank hunters they can only learn 3 skills at most but their skill can also rank up one time.

D rank hunters

Research among 300 D rank hunters showed that the maximum limit to their stats are 300 each. Also they can learn 4 D rank skills at most.

C rank hunters

Their maximum lilim on the stats are 400 each. They can learn upto 6 C ranked skills at most.

B rank hunters

Their maximum limit is 600 stats each and they can learn upto 6 B rank skills as well as 1 unique skill. They could also get innate ability if lucky.

A rank hunters

Maximum limits to their stats are 2000 stats each. They can learn upto 12 different skills along with 3 unique skills. They also get the innate ability of a monster.

S rank hunters

Their maximum limit in each stats is 9999. They can learn upto 5 skills along with 5 unique skills and one ultimate skill. They also get innate ability of an epic monsters.

SS rank hunters

Their maximum limit on each of their stats is 24999. They can learn 6 unique skills along with 6 ultimate skills. They also have the innate ability of a legendary monsters.

SSS rank hunters

Their maximum limit on each of their stats is 59999.they can learn 2 unique skills along with 10 ultimate skills. They also have the innate ability of mythical monsters.)

"Hmm, it seems that researchers have put a lot of effort into finding this information. But aren't they afraid that someone would misuse this news? I think they are capable enough to stop any sort of misconduct." I wandered through the details as I walked back home.

Just as I was about to reach my home I received a message. I checked the notification window. It said ( Your account with an amount of 20000 has been credited with an amount of 50 million. Your current balance is 50 million and 20 thousand.)

I was quite relieved after knowing it. of the total amount I earned was quite a lot. Also I checked my current stats.

Seeing my current stats I felt quite satisfied. I was sure that I am stronger than many other people. But still the stats were still in Rank F. I wondered when I would be able to step on SSS rank.

When I reached home I felt something wasn't right. The door was broken and the accessories were smashed all over the place. When I entered there were 3 people. One of them was holding my sister. My little sister was full of tears. Her body was trembling. I could tell how scared she is/was at the moment.

I greeted my teeth as angry roses within me. The leader said " Hey you brat, finally home huh." I wasn't in a mood to cause a commotion. I thought of solving the problems in an easy manner. So I replied " Heh, young master, why are you here? I don't think there is anything I can do for you. I have also already paid my debt. So why are you being so harsh to my sister?"

Though I controlled my seething rage. I glared at my last words. "Huh brat you dare talk back to the young master in such a haughty manner. You are courting death." The man suddenly attacked me. From the momentum of the man I could tell that he was in F rank. But his strength seemed weaker than mine. Just as his punch was about to hit me, I tilted a little to make him miss his target.

" Huh, it seems like this brat has grown some ability. I heard that he is one of the survivors of the anomaly. But he is still weak in front of me. You come back, let this king play with this brat."

The man suddenly attacked me. I wasn't even able to dodge. I was sure that the man was at least a rank above me. Indeed the man was a C rank hunter. His basic stats were better than mine so I wasn't a match for him.

I puked blood as I was thrown tens of metres away. Even before I could raise my body the man attacked me again. This time his punch packed more power than before. I wanted to fight back but I was hopeless. I gritted my teeth thinking that I was useless. 'What good am I to be brother, if I can't even protect my sister?'

After getting beaten up several times. I was injured heavily. I didn't back away but I forced my way and attacked the man. The man smirked as he thought that I was courting death. It was indeed true that with my current ability fighting him head on would be tantamount to courting death.

But unlike other ordinary F rank hunters my physics was beyond capable. It was also the reason as to why I was able to withstand several hits.

Boom..

I was pushed ten steps back while the man was pushed 6-7 steps back. The man frowned at my true strength. To startle him I said " Young master, it is indeed true that your strength is above mine but I can assure you that you have to pay a heavy price. Right now I didn't use all of my strength. I also know that the young master is preserving his strength."

The man looked me into the eyes full of malicious intent. I didn't waver and continued on." I can guarantee that the young master might lose a limb or two. It would be quite satisfying for me." Finally the man backed away a little.

He spit on the floor as he said " You dare oppose this king? I will let you off for today but it won't be the same next time. "

He then left the place with his minions. I couldn't hold on anymore and puked a mouthful of blood. 'Damn I am still too weak. If this continued I would have surely died. Fortunately the man took my bluff.' Suddenly I felt dizzy. I bit my tongue and endured as I walked closer to my sister. She was in daze may be because of the torture.

I untied her and held her in my arms. Finally she stopped sobbing. I don't know what happened afterwards.when I woke up it was already the next day. My little sister was lying next to me. I checked my body and there were bandages wrapped around me.

I gently cuddled her. As soon as I did so she opened her eyes. Her eyes were full of worry as she asked " Brother, are you all right or are you hurt somewhere. It's.. It's all my fault." Sob Sob…

She began to Sob again and I felt bitter in my heart. I didn't know how much I could grow but I do know one thing that I am the only one that my sister and mother can depend upon.

I wanted to get off the bed as my phone was constantly ringing. I was sure it was a call from my recent acquaintance. But she refused to let go of me.

" Hey, what are you doing? I need to go. Also why didn't you go to college today?"

" No, brother, you are still injured. You cannot go to hunt the monsters again. Also it's your fault that I couldn't go to college today. If I didn't take care of you, who knows what you would do? Hmph"

She folded her hands as she pouted. She looked kinda cute. Feeling helpless I picked up the call and told my acquaintance that I won't be coming for the day. After chatting for a while I hung up the call.

My sister went to cook. She wasn't a great cook as I was the one cooking food everyday since our mother fell ill. The only thing she could cook was porridge. But still it was better than nothing.

Alas it was really hard to move my body. But the rate of recovery was intensely fast. It may be because of the dragon awakening stats. I am really glad that I survived that anomaly, if not I probably wouldn't have gained this new power.
