Alisha's Pov:

"Why do I have to get ready my date isn't until tomorrow", I ask them as they keep dragging me upstairs. "Because these things need to be planned out and I want this to be perfect Davis is my cousin and your my best friend I want you both to have the best date ever and be happy together", Lulu says turning to face me with a smile.

"Oh they'll be happy together Davis will make sure of that he is already head over heels in love with", Jenny says going through the clothes we bought the other day.

"How do you know it's too soon we just met", I start to say but get cut off by Lulu. "Doesn't matter I know my cousin and she's right he does love you", Lulu says turning to look at me.

"Davis has always loved the thought of having a soulmate he searched multiple times through the years but came up empty-handed for years he watched his friends and family members find they're beloved but he never gave u[ hope he would find you and for the record, I'm glad it was you who turned out to be his beloved not just cause your my best friend but because I know you'll always stand by his side", she says.

"I agree I may not have known you that long but I can tell your gonna make a great queen", Jenny adds with a smile. I had completely forgotten that once Davis becomes king I'll become queen of vampires. how is that gonna work I'm human what if they hate me? Oh god, I still have to meet his parents what if they hate me what if they demand Davis leave me.

"No stop what your doing right now your gonna make a great queen now stop overthinking", Lulu says stopping my silent rant.

Just as Jenny was handing me a dress to try on the bedroom door comes slamming open and Matt and Devin come running in.

"Come with us now no arguments Lulu", Devin says a worried look on his face silencing any protest Lulu may have had. "What's going on", I ask as we follow Matt with Devin walking behind us. "Its rogues isn't their attacking the pack aren't they", Jenny asks as we continue walking. "Yeah but don't worry we'll get you guys to the safe house", Matt says just as someone comes crashing through the windows.

"Well seems today is my lucky day looks like I found what the boss wants", the strange man says looking straight at me. "Now give us the girl and we'll leave no one has to get hurt", the man says as two of his friends walk in. "I'm afraid I can't do that and even if I could I still wouldn't now leave mutts", Matt hisses as he and Devin stand in front of us. "Well aren't you a brave one you and your friend is outnumbered", the man chuckles.

"Matt it's okay I'll go I don't want anyone getting hurt", I tell him trying to around him. "No worries Devin and I will be fine of that I assure you but if you go with them Davis will have my head and besides it's my job to protect so stay back and let me do it", he tells me.

Before another word could be said the three strangers shifted and attacked Matt and Devin. The girls and I watched in horror as they fought. "Don't worry they'll be fine these guys may look older but they're not both Matt and Devin have years of fighting experience", Lulu says frowning. I can tell she's worried about Devin and who could blame her they've been together for over two hundred years to say I was shocked when I found out was an understatement.

I watched in horror as one of the two wolves Matt was fighting clamped its huge jaws around Matt's shoulder causing him to scream out in pain. "SON OF A b***h", he screamed out shaking the wolf off of him as the other charged him. "I'm not getting bit a second time", Matt says grabbing it by the jaws. I close my eyes and listen to the sickening crunch as Matt snaps his neck and tosses him to the side.

"Sorry you have to see this we hoped to get you to the safe house but it would seem as luck was not on our side", Matt says turning his attention back to me for a moment.

"How about we save the conversations for after the fight", Dvein says snapping the neck of the second wolf. I watch in horror as the third wolf runs straight for me but before he can get me Matt pushes me out of the way and into Lulu who catches me. "MATT", I scream as I watch the wolf latches onto his side. "Damn wolf just die already", Devin shouts as he runs over to help Matt.

"Matt your gonna be okay", I tell him running over once Devin kills the other wolf. "He got you good", Devin says walking over to where we are. "Yeah feels as bad as it looks", Matt chuckles while wincing in pain. "You shouldn't have done that now your hurt", I tell him tears stinging my eyes.

"Hey now don't cry I'll be fine in a day or two and if I had let him get you things would have been way worse he might have killed you and if had Davis would have gone insane and I would have lost my new friend plus i made an oath to protect you and that's what I'm gonna do", Matt tells me and I know he's struggling to talk.

"Hey guys maybe we should finish this conversation after we get Matt to the pack hospital", Jenny says looking at Matt. "I agree Ally you think you and Jenny can help Matt walk", Devin asks. "Yeah we should be fine", I tell him as Jenny nod in agreement.

"Good Lu you take the point I'll take the rear in case they ambush us from the back", Devin tells us. "Those better let us be otherwise I'll make them pay", Lulu says making Devin chuckle. "Come on Matty let's get you some help", Jenny says pulling him as he puts an arm on both our shoulders for support.

We made it to the hospital fairly quickly without running into any more rogues. "Hey he's gonna be fine stop worrying the doctors will clean him up and he'll be healed up by tomorrow afternoon maybe even before then now stop blaming yourself no one her does", Lulu tells me. "I hate how well you know me", I tell her trying to smile.

"I'm serious a few bites from some stupid rogue isn't enough to kill him he's been through way worse than this trust me", Lulu continues. "And like he said he swore an oath to protect you he did his job and will continue to do it a blood oath is serious business", Lulu says as the doors to the pack hospital open.

"Thank the goddess your okay", I hear Davis say before he scoops me up in his arms. "Matt got hurt saving me", I tell him burying my face into him trying to hold back the tears. "Yes I know I also know would not want you feeling guilty for him getting hurt and besides he will be fine we vampires heal quickly", Davis says sitting down with me in his lap.

"What exactly happened", Andy asks sitting down next to Jenny while we all wait for news on Matt. "We were on our way to the safe house we made it to the bottom floor before we got ambushed Matt got bit in the shoulder while fighting the two that went after Ally he shook that one off caught the second one by the jaws and snapped his neck the second one went for Ally and Matt pushed her out of the way taking the bite in his side", Devin explains.

"s**t I should have known the attack was a diversion", Reed says having joined us. "You couldn't have known none of us could have but I think it would be best if we leave and head for the castle as soon as Matt is able", Davis says. "Yeah, I agree I hate to say it but I think I might have a traitor in my pack that's the only way those rogues could have gotten that far in", Reed growls. "This should have never happened I'm sorry you were attacked and Matt was injured", Reed apologizes.

"It's not your fault I should have known word would spread quickly we should have done headed home but I wanted to make sure my beloved was completely healed", Davis sighs as the doctor comes out walking towards us. "Your friend is going to be fine we cleaned and bandaged him he should be able to take the bandages off tomorrow but he is able to go return to the packhouse now once he signs release papers however I would suggest no strenuous activity for at least two days", the doctor explains causing me to release a breath a didn't know I was holding.

"How soon can he travel", Davis asks looking at the doctor. "I would recommend waiting till after tomorrow he should be fully healed by then", The doctor says. "Okay thanks, doc", Davis tells the man shaking his hand. "I knew you all loved me", Matt says walking over to us with a smile on his face. "You wish", Davis tells him with a smile happy to see his friend. "Thank you for saving her", Davis tells Matt wrapping his arm around me. "You don't have to thank me dude you would have done the same in my shoes", Matt says smiling.

"I'm glad your okay", I tell him causing his attention to fall onto me. "It's gonna take more than a wolf bite to kill me", Matt says looking over at me. "So when are we heading home", Matt asks turning back to Davis. "As soon as your healed", Davis tells him as we start to leave the hospital. "I think it's best we can better protect her there no offense Reed I know this wasn't your fault", Matt tells him. "No worries dude I'm glad your fine and I agree I think it's better if you all return to the castle like I was telling Davis I believe we have a traitor here and if that's the case then Ally is in danger here", Reed says.

"So we're all in agreement in two days we'll head home", Davis asks as everyone making them nod in agreement. " Alright then I'll call father and let him know and once again Matt thank you for saving my love", Davis says. "And once again you don't have to tell thank me I'll always protect my queen", Matt states.
