The Last of the Fallen

Alisha's Pov:

I am currently standing in a field full of the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen. Is this heaven did Jack finally kill me. The last thing I remember was him attacking and me fighting back then Davis showing up to save me. Oh no poor Davis he only just found me now he's gonna be alone again I think as my heart breaks at the thought of him being hurt.

"Don't worry child you are not dead you are simply in a deep sleep", That beautiful voice tells me making me turn around. "Who are you", I ask the woman who is probably the most beautiful person I have ever seen. She has blonde hair that shines like gold and eyes that are as blue as the morning sky on a clear day.

"My name is Iris I am the Moon Goddess and thank you your quite beautiful yourself", she says making me stare at her in shock. "Yes my dear I know what your thinking", she say with a smile. "You said you wanted to talk to me but why I am a nobody", I ask her looking down.

"You are so much more than you know my dear", she says making me look at her in confusion.

"You see my dear you have an interesting family tree", she says confusing me further. "I see the confusion on your face don't worry I'll explain but it will take sometime so if you would follow me", she says snapping her fingers. Before I know it I'm no longer in the field of flowers instead I'm stand in sitting room of a mansion.

"Please have a sit", Iris says sitting down pouring us both some tea. I take a sit across from her as she places the cup of tea in front of me. "What did you mean i have an interesting family tree", I ask her once she has poured her tea. "You my child are a descendant of the fallen", she says looking as if I know what that is. "Oh my you don't know what that is do you", she asks seeing my confusion. "Well I guess it makes sense that you don't you were so young when your family was killed", she says confusing me more.

"My parents were killed in an accident but I guess you could say they were since it was by a drunk driver", I state. "Honey I hate telling you this but that was just a cover up hunter's killed your parents because of your parents bloodline", she says shocking me. "You see both of your parents are descendants of the fallen as well", she says using that word again.

"You keep saying fallen but I don't know what that is", I tell her wondering what she means and why it got my parents killed. "Fallen guardians my dear cursed by my mates jealous brother who wanted me for my position and power", she explains. "You see long ago I met Mathias my mate it was the happiest day of my life and his that was until he introduced me to his family and I met his brother at first everything was good but we soon learned of his brothers jealous when he attacked with an army", she says no doubt remembering that day.

"At first things were going Elijah's way but when I chose to send my twelve guardians to fight the tide of the war changed and soon he was fighting a losing war one he knew he had no chance of winning so before he did something I never saw coming he cursed my guardians sending them to the earth below making them change some into humans, werewolf, vampire and other supernatural species", she explains as I carefully listen.

"Over the years I have watched over them I tried everything I could to break the curse and bring them home but I never could I didn't want them lonely so I gave them someone to love just as did all my children I continued to do so throughout the years for their descendants as their DNA began to change through the bloodline of each guardian their abilities grew weak with each new child until you were born", she tells me.

"That is why your mother was so secretive and told you to be careful you are the first child to be born of the guardian gene with abilities of your ancestors", she explains. "Who were my ancestors", I ask her curiously. "Liam Frost he was my head guardian and the most powerful them all and the most wise even though he was the youngest the others chose him as their leader and Alexandra Raven she was strong and kind she hated violence but would fight to protect those she cared for she was the second strongest guardian", she tells me with a smile.

"Your mother was a descendant of Liam's and your father came form Alexandra's bloodline being of those two bloodlines it's no one wonder you were born special", she says giving me a kind smile. "Are you sure your talking to the right person I mean look at me I'm weak the only time I ever fought back against anyone was today", I say embarrassed.

"My dear I'm positive of who you are you never fought back because you hate violence correct", she asks looking me in the eyes. "Well yes that's true", I tell her now looking at her. "And you fought back today because of your beloved you didn't want him to be lonely anymore even now your wishing you'd go back so you could take away another's pain correct", she asks looking at me with nothing but kindness.

"Yes I want to go back to him he spent so much time waiting for me he was lonely I don't want him to be anymore seeing him happy makes me happy I already love him I know it sounds crazy since I only just met him but I do and even if you hadn't put us together and there was no such thing as a mate bond and we met like regular humans I would still love him I know I would", I tell her passionately knowing that what I said was true.

"I'm so happy you feel that way about him and don't worry you'll be going back I only brought you hear to talk to you and explain things also to warn you the hunters know of your bloodline that's why you were placed in that home I am sorry I could not change your fate you suffered so much pain", she says looking at me sadness in her eyes and I know it's cause she feels guilty for not helping me.

"But you did help me your the one who pairs soulmates together right", I ask her making her nod yes. "Your the one who sent Davis to me your the one who gave me happiness and light back into my life", I tell her making a smile appear back on her face.

"Thank you now before your sent back you must be careful the hunters will want you even more now that your the future queen being human doesn't matter due to your bloodline and being mated to the prince but it's not just the hunters that will want you all kinds of species will want you because of the things your gonna be able to do so you mustn't trust everyone", she says warning.

"There are very few people I trust in this world my trust is not easily earned unless your Davis", I says with a smile. "Yes he is very trust worthy and so are those around him which is one reason why I paired the two of you I knew you'd be safe with him", she says as a man walks in with a smile on his face.

"My love it's time to send her home if we keep her any longer it could be dangerous", he says eyes full of love as he looks at Iris. "Alisha this is my soulmate Mathias he will be sending you back", she says with a smile. "It's nice to meet you", I tell him making him smile down at me and I can tell by his eyes he is a kind man. "A pleasure my dear now if you will please follow me I will see that you get back safely", he says holding his hand out for me which I take.

He helps me to my feet and begins to recite some words that I can't understand I watch as both Iris and Mathis begin to disappear. "Remember dear be careful of those around you she shouts before I am once again consumed by darkness.

Finally I force my eye's open after much difficulty blinking from the sudden brightness of the room I'm in. My eye's adjust to the light and I begin looking around the room knowing I'm in some hospital seeing all the medical equipment. Finally my eye's land on him he looks so peaceful sleeping with his head laying on he folded arms at my bedside.

I begin running my fingers through his soft hair soon a smile plays on his lips. Suddenly his head shoots up scanning the room eyes wide. "I'm sorry you just looked so cute sleeping and your hair was so soft I couldn't resist I didn't mean to wake you", I tell him making his snap around in my direction at the sound of my voice his eyes locking with mine.

"Davis please say something", I tell him as he continues to stare at me making me look away I can feel a blush creeping on to my face as he continues to stares. "My angel you have no need to apologize", he whispers placing a kiss on my hand.
