“Boys, stop,” I call after my sons. I don’t know how these two can be so mischievous.
They’re constantly into everything. My fall from Alpha has been hard, but the boys truly enjoy all the space out here to get into everything. My wife is due any day, though she has since met her mate. We are making it work for the boys, but I can’t lie and say it doesn’t hurt that she’s with another.
“Dad, I’m going to climb that tree,” Jason says as he runs off toward a giant tree. There are no low branches, so I’ll leave him be for a bit. At the least, it will keep him occupied for a bit.
“How’s he going to climb that?” Calvin asks as he comes and takes my hand.
“Shhh…” I say, holding my finger to my lips as he giggles.
