On the second last day of training, a capture the flag exercise, Battle of the Ranges, was arranged between two teams. Team One was led by Winter, while Blue led Team Two.
The goal was to retrieve a black flag at the end of the course and make it back to the camp. Any means was allowed in getting the flag, but shifting was prohibited.
To get to the flag first, the teams had to keep their opponents from making any progress while also ensuring they got to the flag first. In short, to get the flag and get back with it, one would have to fight their way through.
