BLAZE'S POV

My toes move up and down as I sit in the darkness, my ankle crosses over my knee as I wait in Monty's living room, sitting on his couch.
I stare out of the window, waiting to see his lights, and after a few minutes, they appear and I lower my leg, my fingertips digging into the armrest.
It's remarkable how long he takes to get out of the car and come into the house, and as soon as the lights flicker on, I turn my head, watching him stride inside with Nicky.
Monty stops, his head slowly turning towards me, "Who's there?" he snaps, getting defensive, as he should. I raise to my feet, scoffing as I embrace my aura and his shoulders sink as he calms down, "Man, what the hell?" he leans forward, switching on the lights and the room around me lights up.
