Celeste stared at Maximus as he looked around him, confusion pulling at his brow. How the f**k did he get here? This was her home. No other living being besides her, her sister and her mother knew about this place. The sacred gardens were off limits to other supernatural beings. The only being who ever found them was Kevin. But he was an extraordinary human being. He could find anything if he put his mind to it – or was it fate that brought him there, because she had to meet the vampire who turned her entire world upside down and her heart into ash.
Celeste shook her head as the old ache rose inside her. She wasn’t going to go down that road. She’d been through hell and back.
