“He’s supposed to be here,” Vicker said, walking around the remains of the burned down nest. He looked all around him, and he couldn’t see Fluvia. He didn’t understand where he could have disappeared. He followed the trail to the nest.
“Are you sure he’s here?” Cassia asked. Vicker turned to him. He raised his hands in supplication. “I know you can find anyone anywhere,” he said with a sigh, and went back to look around them. The house was burned to a crisp. There was nothing left but memories that lingered in his mind. He wondered what they used to burn the house to the ground. He asked Cassia that very question.
