** Aria’s POV ** The hushed snick of the door latching shut reaches my ears, and I open my eyes. Gritting my teeth, I muster what little strength I have left, and my fingers brush the still-warm indent on the bed beside me. “Nothing matters now,” I rest to myself like a mantra, yet my feet move on their own, chasing that betrayer’s shadow out of the room. When he disappears down the hall and out of sight, I rush to the laptop, pulling up the security cameras. I track him downstairs and out to the garage.
