My heart breaks for Lizzy. I know how much she adores Cole. She had been in love with him since they were teens, and he worships the ground she walks on. No matter my resentment for being Thorne’s accomplice, it’s not fair of me to let my heartbreak ruin their relationship. The pain of being betrayed is not something I ever want Lizzy to experience.
I take a deep breath and confess. “Lizzy, Sierra isn’t Cole’s mistress. She’s Thorne’s. He betrayed me.”
Just then, the door bursts open and Thorne strides into the room. My hands clench involuntarily.
Had he overheard me?
His face betrays nothing, he looks cool as ever. Then I remember he had designed this place to be soundproof so pack members could confide in me without fear of being overheard.
I let out a shaky breath
