Leander doesn’t know what to expect of Fang. In fact, he doesn’t know what to expect of Christina as well. All he knows is that he suffered an overwhelming defeat and, whatever comes next is not his responsibility anymore. After all, Lycan law decrees that an Alpha defeated in a duel seizes control of his pack and his territory. That’s why he is surprised with what Christina said.
“You’ll be retaining your control over your constituents Leander.”
“Pardon?”
“Surprising. I know.” Christina said. “But that’s how I dealt with every pack that I ruled over. Basically, you are still the one who would be giving the orders and keeping your people in check. But you will follow the commands that I give. That’s one of the basic things you need to understand.”
