Laila's POV
"Why don't you spend as much time with me as you used to?" I ask.
Theo looks up at me with a sad smile from the hallway floor, where he sits while I sit on my bed and play with the covers. "I'm sorry. I try to visit you as much as I can. But I've been swamped the last few days." Theo smiles, looking sad still.
"Why?" I ask.
"Because I'm the Alpha now. I need to take care of the pack. Believe me, I would spend every second right here with you if I could." Theo says, now looking happy.
"Oh, with the glowing bowl! I was there!" I nod. "I saw you, and I waved," I assure him.
"I know. I saw you. It made me very happy to see you there." Theo laughs.
