"It hurts to breathe." The doctor repeats. "Sometimes or just all the time?"
"All the time," Laila answers.
"Princess, why didn't you tell us it hurts to breathe?" Ron asks.
"I'm fine."
"You're not fine." Rebecca stands before Laila, scolding her softly and trying to convey her point. "We all love you so much. All we want is for you to be ok. So if anything feels off or hurts, you need to tell us so we can help fix it."
"Everything?" Laila questions.
The breath leaves my lungs. There's more hurting her that she's been keeping from us?!?!?
"Everything," Rebecca nods.
"Sometimes, when I stand up fast, I feel weird for a second," Laila says.
