“Now?” I asked as I glanced around my office. I had a million things to do, and Gavin had just called to say that they were done. “Conrad can’t do it?”
“I mean, I called you first…but I can give him a call,” Gavin remarked, and I rolled my eyes. That wouldn’t work. While I had a million things to do, I knew that Conrad was just as busy. However, it would be better if we both went home to check things out.
“Is Veronica there?” I questioned and he chuckled.
“No, she left over an hour ago,” he said, and I was relieved to hear that.
