THIRTY FOUR

Well the day got better and I just couldn’t believe I was finally getting to understand Pedro it was all I had ever wanted and glad he appreciated the small gesture I did for him. After lunch we attended the afternoon classes and soon it was time for heading home, we were seated at one of the benches just close to the basket ball pitch, we were actually watching the game before we went home

“You know I was thinking about your proposal” I said as I tried to get Pedro’s attention, he was still glued on the pitch and maybe I just didn’t tell you, he is a lover for basket ball

“Hmm… what are you talking about? What proposal?” he asked and I gave him a small smile, you know ever since he proposed to me about getting a tattoo, I actually thought about it, I wanted to get a tattoo, it was one thing I was hell sure about in my life, I was just bound to get it even if he didn’t propose it to me, he was just but a catalyst to my plans, all thanks to him

“Getting a tattoo of course” I said and everyone gave me a weird look. “What?” I asked them with my eyebrows raised; I was wondering why they were all giving me the weird look

“Hmm… nothing I was just wondering because the sister I knew was afraid of needles, how come she is so bold and courageous about getting a tattoo, seems like there is something I’m missing so comb me in, when did you suddenly get the urge to get a tattoo or let me guess you are under pressure, is he the one behind the sudden change?” Talia asked and I found myself laughing because it sounded fun, my younger sister talking to me about getting a tattoo, I know she is the sassy type, she is and still the weirdest in our family, actually when she turned eleven, she insisted on piercing her ears, although mom was against it, she still went ahead and got two for herself and on her thirteenth birthday she actually pierced her lower lip, it was a full fight in the house but my parents finally got over it, they just had to accept things the way they were, my sister Talia was very different from me, while I was the quiet and calm type, she was the sassy type, very talkative and I think she took after dad

“And how does that concern you little sis? I was talking to Pedro by the way so why don’t you seat your ass their and shut the hell up, I’m being serious here” I said dismissing her, I didn’t like the way she was attacking me every time I wanted to talk about something

“Whoa whoa wait, it wasn’t that serious Danny, I just wanted to tease you a little bit but seems like you have a bad day, maybe you are Pmsing I don’t know, I’m sorry my bad” she said in surrender and I just ignored her completely, turned my attention to Pedro and gave him a questioning glance

“Okay guys just shut up, you know what I like about you two, is the fact that you are always playing teasing games on each other but one thing for sure is that you two actually love each other and you always cooperating so back to you Pedro, I think Danny asked you a question, what is on your mind? Are you in or out of our plan?”Elena asked

“This was between us baby, why did you tell Elena about it, you know how naughty she can be sometimes” Pedro said with a smirk on his face and Elena just sneered

“Okay one thing you should know is that she is my sister in law and my best friend, so are you taking her or we go on our own? And of course with someone who is willing to join us” she said as she sipped her juice. I was just following the conversation keenly, one thing I loved about my small group was the fact that we all knew each other and we didn’t try to offend them; we always made sure everyone in the group was happy, what I didn’t know that the group would make a great team in the following years that we wanted to give our enemies the sweet revenge they deserved

“Okay how about we do that tomorrow, since it is on weekend and we won’t be in school” Pedro said and I agreed with his idea

“We actually and plans tomorrow, have you forgotten about our shopping spree again?” Elena asked and to be sincere I had totally forgotten about the plans we had

“Okay you can’t shop the whole day so why don’t you go the shopping in the morning then Jayden and I will be playing that game we had planned for then we can go for the tattoos after lunch and because dad and mom won’t be around we can have a movie night tomorrow, I have several collections and the latest ones of course” he said with a wink

We were currently at the mall with Elena and Talia; we had actually stayed there for almost an hour just checking out on the outfits and the expensive shoes on the stalls

“I’m already tired walking in these heels, we should just go home already, this is tiresome than I thought” I said complaining and the rest just gave me a deaf ear, I don’t know why I chose those damn heels, I was not a fan but seemed like I had no choice

“You should have put on some heels instead of sticking to things you can’t even walk in them for a long time” Talia said and I sneered

“I never asked for your opinion, you two go ahead, I will be waiting for you here” I said as I headed for the restaurant, I was feeling thirsty so I just sat on the seat and ordered for a glass of cold juice

“Okay madam boss, we won’t take long we promise” Elena said and they head for the lift as I walked towards the restaurant, it was on a Saturday and as usual, the restaurant was packed full, with parents and their kids and some couples too enjoying their weekend, I was missing my parents, how I wished they were still around but like they say, we don’t sometimes make choices and we don’t choose our fate, I took my phone out of my handbag and started browsing through my i********: account, I didn’t have a lot of followers but when I opened my account that day, I had so much follower requests and a lot of messages and likes on my previous post , it was actually a photo of me and him, we were watching some Netflix and I snapped the photo without him knowing

There were different and a lot of love emoji, a lot of cute couple comments and for the first time in life I felt like the whole world was with me, it was supporting me

“Is the seat taken?” a voice brought me back to earth from my stupor and I raised my head to look at the intruder, I didn’t actually catch his face but he seemed familiar to me

“Not now but my sisters are about to come occupy them, how may I help you?” I asked with my attention back to him

“Actually no problem, I won’t take much of your time, just a few minutes then I will be long gone So seems like you quite busy on this hot afternoon” he said and I was left confused, I mean I didn’t even remember if I had seen him somewhere but he looked familiar to me, I just didn’t know where I had see him

“Excuse me, do I know you?” I asked confused because I didn’t remember where I saw him, his face looked familiar but I still could not connect where I met him

“I don’t think you can but I know you, Danny such a beautiful name for a beautiful girl like you, you have grown so beautiful since the last time I saw you” he said with a smile and pulled the chair for himself and I looked at him wondering what he was talking about

“Can you just say what brought you here and get done with it? As you can see I was busy trying to do something and you rudely interrupted” I said trying to dismiss him, I wasn’t going to entertain him, what if he was send to kill me?

“Okay my name is Lance, we met sometimes back but in a very critical condition but that is a story for another day, you and I both need each other in that revenge mission you are planning, we both lost someone we cared for and so I came with some important information to give you but I can’t if you don’t trust me, so I will just give you a clue, I know whom your uncle was working for, I won’t give you the name but I know that rings a bell , there is a certain prominent mafia gang whom we can’t do on our own , we need each other so, here is my card, give me a call once you have made up your mind” he said and handed me the card which I took still confused, what was he even talking about? And how did he know my name? “Oh and Danny?” he said and I looked at him with a questioning glance

“I’m looking forward to working with the three of you, you make quite a good trio team, see you soon” he said and with that he head for the door, leaving me still confused with the card still in my hands, I was left with a lot of questions on my mind, I think that was the beginning of the revenge mission we had always dreamt of, the vengeful sisters
