“What the hell is wrong with you Elena? Why are you dragging me like this? You going to break my arms just cut the crap and tell me what is going on please?” I rid pleading with her but she was still dragging me until we reached at our favorite spot in the field where we always hanged out whenever we didn’t have classes, you know I was still shocked at how she changed into such a fearless and bold girl, she was talking back to that literature teacher like it was not a big deal and I was taken aback I mean I had never seen her so courageous before, she was always cracking jokes and making stories

“I should be asking you the same thing Brianna why are you so scared about that pathetic loser huh? He is nothing without this school and just because he is related to the school principal doesn’t mean he is allowed just to step on us like we don’t matter, I won’t allow that, sorry if you feel like I made you miss that damn class but I helped you” she said as she sat beside me and I exhaled out loudly, I mean she was right there was no way I was going to convince that teacher to let us in

“okay, okay I get it you saved me but what the hell is going on, why didn’t you tell me your family owns this f*****g school, we are friends Ely and friends don’t keep secrets, they don’t hide that from each other, you owe me one” I said and she nodded while smiling, that was Ely for you, she would always make you smile even when you were sad and mad at her, she would always find a way to lure you with that charming smile of hers

“I know honey and I’m sorry about that, I was to tell you but a lot has been happening, I just forgot about and sorry you got to know it in that way but I am not sorry for saving your ass back there so you should buy me ice cream on our way out” she said with a wink and I just couldn’t hold back my laugh, we were back again at laughing and cracking jokes, we had just missed the first class and I don’t know how that feels so don’t ask me about it

“It is okay, what if that teacher decides to award us some f*****g supplementary, I am not ready to repeat the subject it messes up with my head” I said as I remembered that the teacher would have changed his mind and decided to give us the supplementary, I was not ready for that

“Well don’t worry about that because I got it handled, at least I got something against him so don’t mid, he won’t try that bullshit on us, now what do we do, we have another class after lunch and it is hours since then” she said giving me a smile and I knew she was up to no good at all

“Don’t tell me you want us to sneak out of school? That sounds like a bad idea” I said while dismissing her and she just gave me the puppy eyes, she knew I wouldn’t say no so she was kind of manipulating me but It’s not like I had a choice whatsoever

“Oh come on Danny, it is not like it will be your first time, you have sneaked out of school severally so no need to be scared, I think we all want to go out today, despite I have a good idea, I think you will like it” she said and I gave her a questioning glance

“And what is the idea, Mrs. Know it all?” I asked

“When is the last time you bought Pedro a gift or anything just to appreciate him for being there for you, he is your boyfriend and I think buying gifts will only make your relationship grow strong” she said and I almost laughed, I mean I had never seen in a serious relationship and there she was advising me on what to do, it was funny

“And when did you become a relationship expertise? I thought you were still single and searching as you always say but I still think Jayden and you have something going on it is just that the two of you are not ready to tell us the truth, and I will let that slide, so what else do you know about relationship and dating?” I asked while looking at her and she gave m a small smile before she responded to my question

“Well, not dating doesn’t mean that I can’t advise you on matters related to it, I might not be dating but I might be knowing one or two things so don’t always think I know nothing about relationships, I know a lot so are you going to listen to my idea or not?” she asked

“Well not like I have a choice right now anyway, so what did you have on mind?” I asked realizing w were going to take the whole day arguing so it was better if I just agreed to whatever she had in mind and get done with it

“Well as I was saying, why don’t w go out to the mall get something for our boyfriends, I mean I know you always want to surprise him right? Then I think this is the perfect time” she said with sly smile and I know where she was headed

“So you and Jayden are like together?” I asked dad she just smiled and brushed it off

“No not really, Jayden just got back from his surgery I figured out w could buy him something and you can get Pedro something too, not a big deal is it?” she asked and I just nodded she kind of made sense, w e should get him something to make him feel welcome, she survived the surgery and it is by God’s work not his

“I think you have a great idea, I love it, what are we waiting for then? Let us get going before time runs out’ I said as I stood up the I remembered something, we didn’t have means of transport “Wait how are we going to reach there? We don’t have a car with us” I said whilst thinking and she just dragged me with her, seemed like she had a perfect plan

“Relax, why do you think I came up with this idea? I had plans already in progress so get your ass up, let us get going and like you said, time waits for no man” she said and I gladly followed her back, I didn’t have anything in mind of what to buy but I knew Pedro loved designer things, I was going to get him a designer perfume and a watch he always loved classic things and I think he was going to love it, I hoped so, I had never bought him anything and I hoped Elena’s idea would fall in

Elena actually had car parked outside the gate waiting for us, I didn’t know she had already planned for everything, the stunt with h literature teacher, and t us going out, she had it figured out and did I tell you she could be a b***h sometimes, anyway she was and is still my hero up to date, I owe her one

“And whose car is this?” I asked her as we drove along the highways to the mall

“Don’t worry about that you should only be worried about how we are going to beat this jam and come back to school on time before Pedro and Jayden realizes we are missing” she said and I nodded in agreement, we weren’t supposed to go out on our own for our safety, the culprit was still out there and he was to be arrested for us to be free and safe but until then we just got to stay calm and low, we didn’t want to lose anyone else

It didn’t take long for us to reach at the mall; I bought Pedro a ‘Calvin Klein, Eternity’ designer perfume and a black omega watch, the perfume was expensive but Pedro is worth anything, he deserves it and I also got Jayden a gift card and a scrabble board game, I knew he was always a fan of scrabble game so it was going to thrill his heart

We bought some pizza rolls for everyone and some fries, it was going to be great back together and I hoped they would love it, I was actually anxious ,I just didn’t know what Pedro would say about the gifts or what his reaction would be, but what I dint know as that I had just gotten the best gift for him because we arrived at school around lunch hours, they were actually waiting for us and from the look of things we had a lot of explaining to do but we signaled them that we will do the explaining later, when I gave Jayden his package of gifs he hugged me so tight that I felt like h was squeezing the only air I had in my lungs

“Hey you are going to break my ribs” I said with a smile on my face, I never knew he would like it but he actually loved it

“Oh you don’t know how much I have been wanting this, it is the best gift someone had ever gotten for me, thank you best friend” he said and I just smiled, I turned back to look at Pedro and I didn’t know what to say

“I didn’t know what to get because I don’t know what you like, but I bought this I hope you will like them” I said to him as I handed him the small gift bag, w were currently at the cafeteria and everyone was looking at us, I don’t know why I was feeling weird but I hoped he loved what I bought him

“Oh my God you got me my best designer perfume, oh my God baby I’m so glad you bought me this, thank you love” he said and kissed me, I didn’t expect him to love my gifts leave alone like them, for one time in my life I felt so great and proud of myself
