“It’s my mom, she is sick and terribly sick” she said with a shaky voice and I knew something was amiss

“What do you mean by she is terribly sick? She was okay just yesterday” I asked surprised, I mean her mom was with us just the other day, how was it possible for her to get sick and not just sick but terribly sick in just less than twenty four hours, the world was so small I think

“I don’t know, I just got a call from Mr. Davidson, I mean my dad, I think we should go check on her” she said with tears in her eyes and I helped her wipe them

“Relax we are all going to see her and confirm if she is okay, don’t cry” I said trying to calm her down but she was too shaken

“I don’t know why I have a bad feeling that it might be connected to that rogue uncle of yours who was behaving like he actually cared for my mother, I will personally hunt him down and kill him myself” she said and I just continued rubbing her back soothingly as we waited for our chauffer to come pick us, I had just texted Talia and asked her to come sow e would head home all of us.

Soon our drive to the hospital arrived and we all hoped in, the drive was a silent one with each of us lost in their own worlds, our life was full of dramas but we just had to get used to it

After about thirty minutes w arrived at the hospital, Elena was the first one to get out and I understand she was anxious to see how her mom was fairing on, I followed her back with my phone in my hands towards the reception. We met her dad, Mr. Davidson at the reception looking uneasy

“What did the doctor say?” Elena asked

“She is still in there I’m also waiting for the doctor’s update” he said in deep thoughts

“But mom was fine yesterday, how comes she falls sick today and not just sick but terribly sick, something is not adding up” she said and it kind of made sense, or maybe my stupid uncle tried to kill her? I hoped it wasn’t true because he was a beast and he was going to make sure he finishes her completely and I think we just imposed danger on everyone in the house, jeez and here I thought I was trying to help, Talia and I were the root cause of everything but it was just too hard to accept the truth

“Hey dad?” Pedro greeted his dad and sat beside me on the couch while Talia chose to stand

“Well, sorry I lied to you I did not want you to freak out, your mom was found lying unconscious in her house, she was shot three times and she also has some few bruises I think form the struggles with the attacker and she also has also been stabbed in her stomach, she lost so much blood I think that is why she is still unconscious but she is a fighter, I hope she gets better soon” he says and my mouth hangs open ,everyone is surprised as I am and my mind doesn’t go far, I know that is my stop uncle, he was trying to eliminate her since she knew everything about him and would have possibly gone to report him but that was too low of him, why try to kill an innocent woman? Tashmin had nothing to do with what was happening

“Oh my God! So my guess was right after all, I know that is her stupid boyfriend, I told you that guys was a culprit but you wouldn’t listen t me, neither would she now she is there fighting for her life” I hope she survives, but first and foremost, I would love to hunt that i***t myself and I will kill him” she shouts but I’m quick to shush her.

“Shush Ely people will hear you talk, this is a hospital” I said trying to calm her down but seemed like she was not yet done

“And, So what? So what Danny? That stupid son of a b***h killed your family, he went ahead and killed your own cousin, he threatened me and also threatened you, your life is at stake , my mom is there lying in the hospital bed because of him, don’t you think it is high time we made sure his sorry as ends up in jail? I’m so tired with you people saying ooh the law will do its work, but these culprits are always escaping those long walls, there is no law according to them, so the moment we get them we kill them, unless you want them to do more harm than they already have, and if you guys are not ready to find him, I will find him and kill him with my bare hands” she continues to rant and I’m forced to walk her out of the hospital, people had started giving us hard stares so her dad signaled me to take her out so she would calm down before going to check on her mother after she work up

“Relax Ely, I also want to fight for my family’s justice and that will only happen if that step uncle of mine is dead, I know he is the one behind everything that has happened even your mom’s condition but we have to wait for your dad to lay his plans, he promised to get to the root of this and I trust him, I trust his decisions, despite I have a plan which immediately after we are done with the end year exams, I was going to work on it so trust me if I tell you I have a plan just trust me and we will make sure he dies a painful death, but only if you stick to my plans” I said trying to make him understand the fact that I was just laying low, and waiting to strike when no one expected, that was part of plan, she just had to trust me then we could fulfill our wishes together

“I hope your plan is great and perfect Danny because honestly I’m not ready to lose anyone close to me, your family is gone, my mom is in there trying to fight for her life, Who is going to be the next victim? is it me or you? Or maybe your sister, or your boyfriend? You never know what would happen and who the next victim would be, we just have to act and to act faster before we lose another person and in as much as people dot want to believe it is Steve who did that, I know he is the one, he was threatened yesterday and today my mom is found unconscious in her house, that is totally impossible” she said and I just nodded in agreement, there was no doubt that was my uncle’s working

“Yeah it is a perfect plan, for now just let the police do its work then we can also help them, that will help us with our evidence” I said hoping my plan would work, I was so scared of losing another person

“ And by the way, speaking of evidence, there is something I think you should know” she said in barely a whisper and I knew whatever she wanted to say was sensitive so I moved close to her so she would tell me whatever she wanted to tell me

“Eh what is it?” I asked while eyeing her anxiously

“I think we can get a clip of what was happening in the house during the whole time” she said and winked at me and I immediately knew she had some crucial and sensitive thing to tell me, whatever it was, it was going to help us bring down my uncle

“Well my mom might not wake up any time soon, she might even slip into coma and that will give that son of a b***h high chances of escaping, we have to figure out ways on how we can get evidence that he actually did it before he escapes and now that the chances of mom waking up are thin, we should act first” she said and I nodded thoughtfully, she actually had a bright idea, but how were we going to get the clip of what had happened?

“That is a bright idea and it is going to help us a lot but how do we get the clip? It is not like we were there when all that was happening or do you have any idea or solid plan about this?” I asked and she just smiled then whispered in my ears

“Well, that is why you have me here, I’m not always a fool, well it was supposed to be my secret but I think it is not anymore, I had installed some secret CCTVS in the house, I think from there w can get all the evidence we can use to pin down that i***t’ she said with a wicked smile on her lips and I was left surprised, I mean I never thought Elena was that clever

“Wow, seems like you have just saved my ass today, why don’t we go tell your dad? He might be of great help to us” I said with a smile tugged on my lips and gave her a high five before we stood up and went back to the hospital, the day had just ended in good mood, despite the fact that Elena’s mom was fighting for her life in the hospital, we knew we were going to pin down my arrogant uncle, he was in for the biggest shock of his life
