The moment the bell rang, we immediately rushed to class with Elena beside me, I was actually happy and contented that she was there for me and had stood by my side, I wasn’t just in moods for quarreling with the school’s queen B; I had so much to catch up before the exams period started

“Welcome back miss Danelya and Mr. Pedro, we missed you two, I hope you two are ready to come back, we have exams come next week and I hope you will catch up before you finally seat for your end year exams, and Danny we are deeply sorry for your loss, I know it has not been easy on your side but we are as a family to you and we are going to make sure you feel comfortable ,and as your great friends, we bought something for you, not that big but we hope it will make you feel better” she said as she handed me a big shopping bag and a brown envelope

“Thank you all for showing your love and support, it has been a difficult time but I thank God I am here today, all that happened, happened with a reason but I’m here again to start again, thank you all” I said as I went back to resume my seat, I always sat in between Elena and Pedro, but just two more lockers to my place, Molly placed her leg so I would fall down but I was too quick to notice it, I stepped hard on her feet and she screamed pain

“What is going on there?” Mrs. Nancy asked and Ely smiled slyly at me and gave me thumbs up, I was so done playing games with Molly, she was going to regret ever trying to mess with me

“Nothing ma’am, you should probably ask Molly because she is the one that screamed like she was being burned in a furnace” I said and resumed my seat as the whole class burst into a laugh and Molly turns out to the laughing stalk

“Molly and Danny please see me after class, this is not allowed in my class and don’t fail to come because I might just decide to change my mind and give you two a detention instead” she said as resumed writing on the board

“Great job there baby, you just put her where she belongs” Pedro said and I just smiled, I was literally zoned out, my mind was far away, my life with both of parents was lonely, I hadn’t got the chance to talk to my parents about what was happening and they had just died untimely, I hadn’t even said any goodbyes to them and it sucked big time

“Danny, follow me after here and don’t waste any more time unless you want me to change my mind” she said as she sashayed her hips and went outside, just then the bell for lunch rang

“I’m coming with you and then from there we will go lunch, today I feel like grabbing some fries” Elena said as she picked her bag and made to follow me

“No it is okay, you should probably head first and order for the fries then I will join you later” I said trying to dismiss her but she was so determined, the problem with Ely is that she never backed off on her own idea or decision so arguing with her was fruitless

“No I said I’m coming with you and that is final, Pedro will order for that lunch as you and I go to see that teacher” she said dismissively and walked out of the door

“No I’m also coming with you guys, we will go out to that famous restaurant after you have seen that petty teacher” Pedro said and it seemed like we had no choice, the decision was already made

“Wait, we are not allowed to go out of the school until in the evening” I said remembering the school’s stupid rules

“Don’t worry about that, I already have plans, so all we have to do is go see that teacher then we can go for lunch, bills on me” he said with smile

“Wow I didn’t have plans today, glad you are going to pay the bills today” I said as we walked down the pavement towards the main office

“You are welcome baby” he said with a smile and I smiled back

We were currently seated at the restaurants just a few blocks from school, how we got there was still a mystery to me but what mattered was the fact that we were seated in that fancy restaurant, he had asked us to choose whatever we wanted to eat, I didn’t leave my sister behind, and she had plans with her friends, Gina and Elisa, but she had to cancel all of them, family above all, always and forever after all

“So baby I was thinking, why don’t we push these things further, I mean I love you Danelya, and I have no doubt you are the only I want right now and no one else, please I know last time I hadn’t made it official yet but I just want the whole world to know that you are first girl to ever make me feel this way, I’m not perfect and I know no one is but want to be your perfect imperfection, your better half and the guy you always want to wake up next to every other day of your life, I bought this ring, it is a promise ring, I want you to promise me that whatever happens you will always remember that it is you and I against the world, that you won’t leave my side no matter what, I promise to love you until my last breathe Danelya, please will you be my girlfriend?” he said on his knees, I was shocked at the turn of events, cameras were clicking and everyone was asking me to say yes, I was stuck and to me it seemed like I was glued on the seat, I had no words to describe what I felt for Pedro but if someone told me that love could do you wonders, love could make someone dry of words, I would have argued but there I was looking at him with shiny eyes full of fresh tears, apart from my family, no one had ever made me feel loved before and Pedro was doing quite good, I was watching him, he was on his knees with the shiny diamond promise ring in his hands, I was ready to promise him whatever he wanted and I was ready to keep my promise but I was just standing there stupefied on the seat

“Danny please, just say yes” Elena was literally begging me to say yes

“Yes Pedro, I will keep all the promises we have ever made to each other, I love you and I have always loved you since day one, I wouldn’t mid saying yes to you even a million times, so yes I will be your girlfriend Pedro” I said and he slid the shiny diamond ring on my finger, people in the restaurant clap and Pedro pulls me into a hug before he crashes his lips on mine and I kiss him back with passion, my legs are jelly like

“Well I just want to say thank you for everyone that made this a success, but I still have one thing for my girlfriend, Danny, I hired this band to sing for you, it was supposed to be one of the biggest surprises I had for you on your birthday but we didn’t get time for all that so here I want them to sing a song, my favorite song of course just for a few minutes because we are only left with a few minutes, just know that this is from the bottom of my heart” he said and we all sat down to listen to the live band

‘Perfect’ by Ed Sheeran, was the song that was performed, I was feeling like I was on top of the world, I me at sixteen, I had a boyfriend who was more than willing to do anything for me, he ordered for a live band just to perform his favorite song for me, he went ahead to buy me a car on my birthday, who can do that for you? I didn’t love Pedro because he always bought gifts for me; I loved him since he always made me feel happy and cared for, he was like heaven sent

By the time they were done with the performance I was feeling like a queen, he bought me my favorite juice and cake before we head back for the evening class. News always traveled faster in our school so within hours everyone had known what had happened at the restaurant, the video was circulating around in w******p groups and not to mention the stares I go from my fellow students, all the attention was getting back to m e ad Molly was liking none of it, she gave me a death glare the whole afternoon class but I wasn’t bothered with her, I had a lot of things to bother me rather than some jealous b***h who couldn’t keep her comments to herself

The class was going on well until Elena was called by the school principal, we were all waiting for her anxiously at the parking lot after class and when she came with a gloomy face, I knew something was definitely wrong
