The following morning, I woke up and immediately noticed that Axel was missing. Glancing at the clock, I realized it was already 10 a.m. I hadn’t thought I was that tired, but it seemed Axel had allowed me to sleep in. As I got up and opened the door, I found two guards standing outside. I paused for a moment, taking a good look at them, and felt my heart race slightly. “It’s alright, ma’am. Alpha just wanted to make sure you were safe. He’s in a meeting with the Alpha from the neighboring pack right now,” one of the guards explained.
