CHAPTER 60

1609 Words

I remained in the same tattered clothes, now on the verge of falling apart, and hadn't had a chance to bathe either. Despite my dire situation, I was determined to stay strong. I tried to practice my magic, but it proved challenging to do so without attracting the guards' attention outside the door. The only human interaction I had was with Stefan and Josiah; they were the only ones aware that I was still alive. The soldiers working for Josiah would drop off food before quickly retreating. But I refused to let it get to me. I was determined not to let those backstabbing bastards win; they would never break my spirit.
